Teacher expertise and credentials
I was taught slap bass by Louis "Thunder Thumbs" Johnson of The Brothers Johnson. Louis played on Michael Jackson's first two solo albums, Off The Wall and Thriller. He was Quincy Jones' principal bassist in the '70s and '80s and played on countless albums with many legends, too many to mention here. He showed me his method which he called "The Secret Scrolls of Funk". I was his protege and I want to share what he showed me with you.
