Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room, where it is always a good day when you are learning something new!

In this ongoing class, we will use easy steps and basic skills to sketch your learner's favorite Nintendo Character! We'll focus on the basic anatomy and facial features of the characters.

*Young artists will learn a few techniques to sketch using shading pencils, colored pencils, or even markers!

Week 1: Mario
Week 2: Pokemon
Week 3: Zelda character
Week 4: Animal Crossing

Or a character of your young artist’s choice!
Let me know which one is your learner’s favorite Nintendo game character they want to learn!

First, we'll spend 5 minutes introducing ourselves.

Then, we'll spend 25-30 minutes drawing faces and characters using various techniques, textures, and sometimes basic shading to create art that follows facial anatomy.

In the last 10~15 minutes, we'll finish coloring our project using colored pencils or shading pencils and have time for any questions or to talk about the next class project.

I'll use a dual screen so the kids can see me drawing with them throughout class.

I encourage kids to express their creativity and make their artwork truly unique. If they need a little extra time to finish their projects, I understand and support them in working independently outside of class. I aim to adapt the pace of our activities based on each student's needs, whether that means slowing down or speeding up the lessons. I’m also happy to extend the class time for a few minutes whenever I can to ensure that every student gets the opportunity to complete their work comfortably.
.
No experience is needed for this class; learners will follow the directions I give. If this class interests your learner, please sign up. I'm excited to meet your learner!

Hope to see your young artist in my classes soon!

Hello and Welcome Outschoolars! I’m Mrs.D. ! I appreciate you considering me to be a part of your young artist's art journey!

I teach various art classes that involve color theories, color wheels, and color schemes that work together to create human figures, landscaping, and canvas painting with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. I love to teach different styles and techniques of art using Art Theory.

I am an artist by profession. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I have participated in many art exhibitions in my public art center and library and taught art, crafts, and card making in elementary schools and Girl Scouts as a volunteer. I love to share art with my community.

I have been teaching 1:1 art classes online and in person for the last 5 years to ages 4 to 14 years. I have instructed children online all around the world, and continue to teach local classes and workshops in my community. I am so happy to continue what I am doing on a bigger and better platform from the comfort of my home.

I like to teach Art Theory in most of my projects so kids will learn multiple things without even realizing it. I believe all students can learn, and art is the best way to express yourself and your feelings in your unique way.

Art helps to improve hand and eye coordination. It also helps to grow your concentration and patience. Sometimes young minds can't express themselves through talking, but through drawing. I love connecting with students through art and helping them grow, laugh, and have some fun!

Class Expectation: Everyone works at different speeds. If the child is not finished with the piece by the end of class, they can finish the remaining picture at home and post it in the classroom.

Join me on this incredible adventure to take your child’s passion to the next level.

Thank you for visiting my profile! I’m looking forward to being a part of your child's art journey, growth, and success; can’t wait to see you in class!
