Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Beginner - Intermediate Level
This lesson will teach learners how to draw the human figure. To accomplish this, students will learn about:

📏 Body proportions and shapes: Learn how to create your very own 2D lay figure which will form the basis of all your figure drawings!

🫳🏼 Anatomical details: Receive tips & tricks to overcome common challenges (such as how to draw hands!)

🧍🏻 Dynamic poses: Use reference photos to develop your understanding of how the human body moves.

✏️ Shading & highlighting: Learn a range of highlighting and shading techniques to add dimension to your creations!

This class follows a tutorial format 🎥 where I will demonstrate each step clearly on video.
As this is a one-time self-paced class, learners have the option to pause ⏸️ the video at any point. Along with this pre-recorded video footage, learners will also find close-up shots showcasing finer details (e.g. how to draw hands). Throughout the video, learners can expect to find additional graphics to support them in their understanding of specific concepts and techniques.💡

You can find additional resources, from reference photos to links to YouTube clips and additional art activities, on the classroom page. 🎨

📩 Progress photos and completed artwork can be submitted through the Outschool messaging system and I am more than happy to provide feedback and/or constructive criticism!
