Class Experience

The class runs twice a week. Each week will be dedicated to a continent. We will start with Africa.

The first class of every week will cover geography, climate and history.

For the second class of the week the students get the assignment to research the news for something current connected to the continent.

I will start the second class by covering cultures( languages, people, art and religion) of the continent and we will end the class by talking about the news the students have found during the week.

The student may do a research project throughout the class. The student will pick a subject to compare between the continents or a few countries.

A few things that they can choose to compare are:

The geographical differences between the continents. Climate, animal life, mountains, etc.

A historical comparison of a century. For example compare the 1700's in France, the USA, Egypt, India, and Australia.

Compare native religions on the different continents.

Even though each lass is scheduled for 70 minutes every class won't run a full 70 minutes depending on how many students the class has and the subject taught at the moment

The student needs to have a general knowledge of world geography and history. The student also needs to be able to do research both weekly of the news and for the larger comparison project.
