Class Experience

A sister circle is an opportunity for girls to connect with other girls in a safe, judgement free space where they can speak and be heard. Each circle will have an empowering focus such as self-worth, belief, self-respect, and resilience that we will discuss through the lens of the life of one of herstory's great women, such as Amelia Earhart, Jane Goodall, Anne Frank, etc.

Upcoming:

Aug 14th - Jessica Watson
August 21st - Amberley Snyder
August 28th - Julia Child

To see some of the women we've talked about in the past, scroll to the bottom.

The circle will begin with introductions and sharing about "what's going good" so we can get to know each other better.
We also set our agreements for the circle.

Each circle will have a theme based on the life of an inspirational woman. We will be introduced to the heroine and discuss her life and how her lessons can be translated into our own lives.

Each girl will have the opportunity to speak and give her thoughts on the reflection questions. One of the biggest values of the circle is this opportunity to speak openly without judgement. This is a space to speak and be heard.

Past Sessions Include:
Alice Paul - American - Instrumental in passing of 19th Amendment
Ada Lovelace - British - Wrote 1st Computer Program (before computers were even invented)
Valentina Tereshkova - Russian - 1st Woman in Space
Taylor Swift - American - Musician on Forbes 2020 list of World's Most Influential Women
JK Rowling - British - World's First Self-Made Billionaire Author
Harriet Tubman - American - Civil Rights and Women's Rights Activist - Freed slaves with the Underground Railroad
Shirley Temple - American - Brought joy to America during the Depression as a child actress, later served as Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia
Malala Yousafzai - Pakistani - Youngest Nobel Peace Prize Winner, advocates education for all
Jane Goodall - British - Advocate for the environment and animals
Amelia Earhart - American - One of the world's most famous aviators
Helen Keller - American - First deaf and blind woman to graduate college
And Many More...

I take requests from the girls as well as trying to keep a balance of different nationalities, races and influences.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been leading women's circles for the last couple of years and am very excited to bring this work to a younger audience. I have often wished I learned these things when I was younger. I also have a background of leading mind-body-spirit movement classes and the circle aspect was one of the most enjoyable parts of the class. I currently teach personal growth courses for adults on these same topics. It is never too early to learn to love yourself more and this is a very important age to begin grasping these topics.
