Perfect for teens who love to sing! Up to date on all the latest challenges on Tiktok? Want a place to learn the riffs you’ve been hearing, or just show off your skills? Come and riff with me! We will touch on riffs from Burlesque, Hopelessly Devoted, Beyoncé songs, Insecure and more! **You do not need to have Tiktok, or be familiar with Tiktok to enjoy this class! Each day, your teacher, Vasi, will break down the riff and have you properly executing the skill. In this class, we will start with the building blocks. How does your posture affect your riffing? Your balance, your breathing... We will align the body with a short guided meditation and body work. Next we will wake the face up with a bit of massage and skull mapping. Now, on to busting some myths. Do you want to know what the myths of riffing are? This class will cover it all... How about the history of riffing? And who are your favorite artists? Let's discuss. Next, time to learn some exercises so that WE can start riffing better! We will break down a riff, piece by piece, and work together to gain confidence in our own abilities. Learners are welcome to share their own progress in class, or stay muted if they feel more comfortable with that. Learners will be guided in a kind and mindful way to break through to better their riffing technique. Scope + Sequence for the course: Meeting one focus: Burlesque (the movie!) Parental Guidance
Please have a bottle or glass of water to stay hydrated while using the voice. Being in a room with minimal background noise will also be helpful to the learners of this class.
