I have taught and tutored math for about twenty years. I hold a current teaching certificate in K-8 elementary school, with a focus on math. I am halfway to my master's in secondary math. I really enjoy math - it is very relate-able to food and money!

Progress will be evaluated with the learner's work throughout the semester. The teacher may contact the learner's guardians as needed. Guardians are welcome to contact the teacher as needed. Progress will be evaluated with the Singapore Workbook Review pages if requesting a grade. Assigned Singapore Review pages should be completed without assistance from guardians or other people. Calculators may or may not be used, and this will be stated by your teacher when the assessment is assigned.Grades Offered
Grades, Scoring: 1) I can assign grades if requested. The student must turn in their tests to receive a grade for the semester. Please let me know at the start of the semester if you are requesting a grade for the semester. 2) I do not grade homework, however, the "Answer Key" contains all answers and work. Students are welcome to ask individual questions. 3) If you are not requesting a grade from me, submitting "Reviews" is not required. However, students should still come to class with questions. If a student is not turning in tests, I will assume that the parent is keeping track of grades and reviewing the tests, and are just interested in the instruction portion of the course. 4) The "Answer Key" contains the recording forms for you to keep track of your student's grades for the fact practice tests. It contains two templates for the students to write all the work needed for lessons. This is optional, but it is a nice format. It has a chart to record grades for lessons and tests. Last, there is an optional page for students to do test answer work.
