In this fun and engaging one-time class, students will learn to say and sing the words to a famous French children’s song, “Tête, Épaules, Genoux et Pieds” (Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes). I will use props, pictures and movement to enhance the music. Students are welcome to bring a doll or toy to point to the body parts, as well. Studies show that music and melody help young learners immensely with language retention as well as pronunciation. Most importantly, it makes learning fun! Each class begins with the “Bonjour” song, then segways into “Tête, Épaules, Genoux et Pieds”, and ends with the “Au Revoir” song. Songs will be taught and introduced line-by-line, and then all together. Please note the following: - Very young students may benefit from parental assistance or supervision if they are not able to mute or unmute themselves on command. - I will need to see each student on video at least at the beginning of the class for safety reasons in order to verify their identity. - I adhere to the Outschool policy of one learner onscreen per account. Siblings are welcome to sign up under different accounts.
Learning Goals
Students will gain confidence learning some new words in French through a fun and interactive song.

I am a singer-songwriter and guitarist who lived in France for over 6 years. I currently give private and group French lessons, and love to share my passion for languages with students. I worked at a bilingual preschool in France in 2015, where I often used music to teach language to my young learners (ages 2-5).
