In this class young learner will learn how to put two sums number together to make more. They will learn the mathematic vocabulary words, symbols, addition, plus and equal. We will start with using symbols 0 to 10 to make a total sum. This is a very interactive class where children will be asked to bring something to count to each class. Each class will start with example from the teacher. Then each child will be asked for solve the equation by themselves. For example I would asked the child to count out two and then add three more. What did they come up with for an answer for the equation. Write your answer on a dry erase board to show. We have opportunity to have movement time during class with using numbers. **Child must know how to count out 0-10. And have a clear understanding of quantities and symbols before taking this class. Sequence lesson random addition to assess the over all class, adding by 2’s and 3’s, 4’s and 5’s, Introduction to 10 frame and search for 10.
