In the Sight Word Safari course, students will learn essential sight words, which are critical for developing reading fluency. Each lesson focuses on recognizing, reading, and using sight words in context. Three new words will be introduced weekly. Each class follows a structured format designed to maintain consistency while incorporating variety to keep students engaged: * Introduction (2 minutes): Warm greeting, theme introduction, and learning objective. * Warm-Up Activity (3 minutes): Theme-related interactive song or activity. * Sight Words Exploration (8 minutes): Introduction and practice of sight words using digital flashcards and interactive tools. * Guided Practice (5 minutes): Reading sight words together and using them in simple sentences. * Independent Practice (5 minutes): Theme-related digital worksheet activities. * Review and Closure (2 minutes): Recap of sight words, virtual rewards, and a closing song. I will teach using a blend of interactive and multimodal strategies to cater to different learning styles. This includes: * Digital Flashcards: For visual learning. * Interactive Songs: For auditory learning. * Guided Reading: For kinesthetic learning. * Digital Worksheets: For independent practice. * Interactive Whiteboard Tools: For hands-on activities and engagement. My teaching style is dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered. I prioritize differentiation by tailoring activities to meet diverse learning needs and ensuring that every student feels valued and supported. My approach is engaging and interactive, fostering a fun and stimulating learning environment where students feel comfortable to participate and explore. Learners will interact with me frequently throughout each lesson. Specific interactions include: * Lecture: Brief explanations and introductions. * Games: Interactive activities and games related to the theme. * Slides: Visual aids to present sight words and thematic content. * Video Clips: Short, engaging clips to introduce or reinforce themes (when appropriate). * Discussion: Guided practice sessions where students can ask questions and share their thoughts. * Independent Practice: Opportunities for students to work on activities and receive feedback. Students will have multiple opportunities to engage directly with me, whether through answering questions, participating in games, or receiving individual feedback during independent activities. This constant interaction helps build a strong rapport and keeps students engaged and motivated.
