Class Experience

Your child started building the foundations toward becoming an excellent sight singer in the first lesson of the program in a single day class called "Sight Singing 101-The Game", and now they are ready to take the next steps toward becoming excellent sight singers using the proven method called "S-Cubed Sight Singing Program for Beginners" by taking Level 1. In this multi-day class format, students will continue to compete against Mr. D in the game, Forbidden Pattern. The game is an integral part of helping the students learn and become comfortable using the Kodaly based hand signs. In addition, we will begin using a technique called "Follow the Hand". This technique is going to help them prepare for reading real pitches off of the music staff accurately and confidently during Level 2. And lastly, we will start the process of ear-training which is a crucial part of singing well in general. Our ultimate goal with the ear-training is to help the students learn to self-assess and self-correct as quickly as possible while they sing.
