In this class students will have the opportunity to practice public speaking as they share their show and tell item with their classmates. They will get that classroom practice of... • Introductions • Taking turns (your student should also bring a second prop incase other students don't make it to class allowing for additional share time) • descriptive language and story telling • Not only listening to others, but actively paying attention incase there is a recall quiz at the end of class (just for fun) In this class the student's cameras need to remain on. This is so that we can see their show and tell, and the other students are able to see who they are speaking to during their share. Some examples of items your child could bring to class... - Souvenirs - Lego build - Pet - Photo from an adventure or vacation. - Favorite or unique toy - cast or xray from an injury. - Food they learned to make and the culture/story behind it. - Supplies or finished crafts they do as a hobby. - Fruit, vegetable, or flower they planted in the garden. A fun thing about this class, is that you can take it over and over again! Every class will have new friends and different stories. Your child can continue joining and gaining all the skills that come from a simple and fun show and tell.
