These classes do not build on each other, so feel free to join this class at any time. In this 4 time class, the students will listen to a fiction story about a shark during the first three classes. The last class will be a non-fiction shark book that will deliver shark information in a fun way. ~Students will strengthen listening skills while having a story read to them. ~Students will practice using active listening skills. ~Students will use language skills when retelling the sequence of the story and using first, next, then, and last ~Students will strengthen reading skills to actively predict what events will happen next. ~Students will hear stories read with fluency and expression. ~Students will demonstrate a love of non-fiction stories.
