Shark Week is happening now! What did your child learn!? In one of my classes where I teach about sharks, I have observed that young students have SO much to say about sharks. They LOVE to share all they know! :)
In this class, students will practice turn taking and raising their hand to share what they know and love about sharks. I will use question prompts and pictures on a power point to help encourage conversations. Questions such as: What is your favorite kind of shark? What do sharks eat? Have you ever seen a shark? will be used to spark conversation.

This class is NOT to learn facts about sharks from the teacher (I do have another class for that: "If I Had a Pet Shark"). This class is for students to learn from one another, have conversations about the fiercest predator, and practice speaking and listening with peers.  

A coloring sheet will be provided for students to color throughout class to keep their hands busy as they listen and learn from their peers. :)
