Class Experience

tudents will gain an understanding of the humor and Elizabethan attitudes through listening to and rewriting A Midsummer Night's Dream. They will also learn how to summarize and chose important parts of the plot. They will be familiar with the characters and the plot.
Note: In the original version, there are sexual scenes and references. There is also some violence. The version we wil be reading is toned down. There will be talk of love and marriage, and a fight scene, but any references to sex will be eliminated. I have directed this pay over 10 times with actors as young as 8 and as old as 17.
We may watch a few very short videos of some important scenes.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
