I agree with Horton the elephant by Dr. Seuss: "A person's a person, no matter how small!" My classes are fun, engaging, interactive and purposeful. Learners will become obsessed with Dr. Seuss - one of the most beloved children’s book authors of all time. During our class time, we will wake up our brain cells, have FUN reading, and explore the creative works of Dr. Seuss. I teach with a multi-disciplinary approach. In other words, it's not just English or literature, it's science, math, geography, and life skills. Monday - "The Cat in the Hat" Tuesday - "Fox in Socks" Wednesday - "One Fish, Two Fish" Thursday - "Green Eggs and Ham"
Learning Goals
Students will become obsessed with Dr. Seuss.
Learners will have FUN learning phonics, grammar, poetry, public speaking skills, readers’ theater, geography, numbers, story-webs, creative storytelling, and memorizing famous quotes from Dr. Seuss.
Students can take turns reading with fluency and expression - especially if they have their own copy of the book.
We will put on our creative thinking caps as we explore more imaginary creatures, silly places, and no-nonsense words created by Dr. Seuss.
