In this class students will play a fun game forming sentences; we will talk about and use capitals, subjects, verbs, and periods.

A fun class making sentences with capital letters, subjects, verbs, and periods. Students will take turns drawing cards and combining the words to make sentences; students will have to determine if the words form accurate sentences. It will be lots of fun reading sentences that don't make sense and then finding words that make correct sentences. Students will be forming sentences that start with capital letters, have a subject and verb, and end with a period. Students will have opportunity to interact with their classmates and their teacher. We will have a lot of fun learning together. Students will benefit from a knowledge of reading CVC and CVCe words.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
