In this one-time class, learners will practice sentence writing. The goal of this course is to help students take a short sentence and change it into a more detailed sentence. This is an important skill for sentence writing, and in turn paragraph writing. This will elevate students' writing quickly in a fun, interactive way. 

This is a perfect summer class to keep your students writing, as well as growing. They will be prepared for their next grade level. As a licensed teacher, I know the importance of communicating through writing as well as the importance of sentence formation. This class will focus on basic sentence writing skills and enhancing those skills to grow as a writer. 

Class Format-

15 minutes:
Introductions and Class Expectations
Identifying Basic Sentences and how to make them better.

25 minutes:
Interactive Teaching Time
Modeling by teacher, Interactive Practice with students

10 minutes:
Students display understanding through independent practice and activity
Wrap Up

Students will receive handouts prior to the live class meeting to bring to class. Students will also receive extension activity for at home practice/learning after the class.
