Class Experience

**Learners should already have a basic familiarity with coins, counting money, and two-digit addition to best succeed in this class**

In this one-time class, students will review the concept of counting and solving money problems using pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. The class will cover amounts from 1 cent to 1 dollar. In an interactive format, students will solidify their understanding of counting money in various intervals. We will collaborate to play a number of games, including "is it $1?", "who can buy it?" "money match" "skip counting money" "balance the scale", and "which is more?". We will end with an open-ended problem involving purchasing toys. This class is packed full of practice and fun!
