Welcome to Sensational Science! This class is designed to spark your learner's interest in science and curiosity about the world around them! The Sensational Science series of classes are full curriculum classes aligned with 3rd/4th grade Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and can be taken in any order! The student will make observations and/or measurements of an object’s motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion. The student will ask questions to determine cause and effect relationships of electric or magnetic interactions between two objects not in contact with each other. The student will define a simple design problem that can be solved by applying scientific ideas about magnets. The student will plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object.
Our educators have degrees in elementary education fields. We have several years of experience helping children develop a love for learning and growth mindset through teaching core subjects (math, language arts, science, and social studies).

Before coming to class each week, students will need to print out their interactive notes for the week. Students will need pencils and coloring utensils in each class. Additionally, each week students will need to bring special items which will be posted by the teacher in the classroom. These items will include things such as: plastic spoons, pom pom ball, cotton ball, basket ball, tennis ball, balloon, popsicle stick, battery, pipe cleaner, dominoes, etc.
