In this 16 week class, students will have weekly 1:1 piano lessons.
Class experience
*Please contact me for 30 or 60 minute lessons and I can create those classes. In this semester private piano class, we will use a set of method books which are at your child's level. The method books I usually use are Faber Piano Adventures. In this series, I usually have the parent purchase a Lesson, Theory and Performance book. Sometimes we add a sight reading or classics book. Students will learn basic music theory, vital to their success. Music theory as a practical discipline ,encompasses the methods and concepts that make music come to life and make it user friendly.
I am well-qualified with a Bachelor's in Music Education with an emphasis in Voice. I also had 8 semesters of college-level piano instruction. I have taught piano on Outschool for two years. I started piano lessons when I was 9 years old.
Homework Offered
I would recommend that students practice 15-20 minutes, 5 days a week. This will depend on their age. Please note: More practice will result in faster progress.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I assess as we go and will let you know weekly, how your child is progressing.Grades Offered
We will use the method that your child is familiar with or I will recommend Faber Piano Adventures books.
