**PLEASE NOTE** This is a SELF-PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. THIS MEANS STUDENTS WILL WATCH THE PRE-RECORDED VIDEO. There are no live meetings. All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via pre-recorded demonstration drawings. Week 1Lesson 1Catch a Snowflake On Your TongueThrough my guided drawing process, students will learn how to make three or more flat shapes look 3-dimensional (form) with a few simple pencil shading techniques. We will discuss ways to extend this technique to other types of art that students like to create.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Drawing or painting paper pencil, eraser Plastic lid or other circle suitable for tracing (optional, encouraged for best success) Black Sharpie or similar permanent marker for outlining Crayons (WHITE crayon, at the least) Water-based markers, such as Crayola OR watercolor paint
