**PLEASE NOTE** This is a SELF-PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. THIS MEANS STUDENTS WILL WATCH THE PRE-RECORDED VIDEO. There are no live meetings. All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via pre-recorded demonstration drawings. Week 1Lesson 1Paint Cool Summer TreatsIn this fun, pre-recorded class, we will break down the shapes and colors of different frozen treats. Students will choose their favorites to draw, then select the type of medium (crayon, marker, paint, or a combination) to complete their compositions. We will explore the idea of how they would cast a shadow if they were laying on a table, and draw or paint shadows on each treat.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Paper (if planning to finish with watercolor, sturdy paper or watercolor paper is strongly recommended) pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Sharpie or other black permanent marker crayons, markers or watercolor paint
