**PLEASE NOTE** This is a SELF-PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. THIS MEANS STUDENTS WILL WATCH THE PRE-RECORDED VIDEO. There are no live meetings. All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via pre-recorded demonstration drawings. Week 1Lesson 1Kawaii Cuteness Thanksgiving FeastThrough the guided drawing process, students will learn how to use simple lines and shapes to create traditional Thanksgiving dishes in Kawaii style. We will explore the origin of Kawaii style, and discuss ways to adapt it to a variety of foods.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Students will need: Paper (drawing paper is great; sketchbook, or even printer paper will work! Pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Black Sharpie Choice of coloring tools: colored pencils, crayons, watercolor pencils, or markers.
