Lesson 1
Draw and Paint a Patterned Mitten
Through my guided drawing process, students will learn how to break down lines and shapes to draw and decorate a mitten. We will then trace and color them.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level
Paper (heavy paper, such as watercolor paper, is recommended if student plans to paint)
Pencil, eraser
black Sharpie or similar permanent marker
Student choice of: crayons, markers, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, watercolor paint. (I will be using a combination of crayons or colored pencils and watercolor paint)
