**PLEASE NOTE** This is a SELF-PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. THIS MEANS STUDENTS WILL WATCH THE PRE-RECORDED VIDEO. There are no live meetings. All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via pre-recorded demonstration drawings. Week 1Lesson 1Draw an Abstract Heart DesignIn this one-time class, students will learn the term "abstract," while drawing several hearts on their paper. The abstract part comes from the other lines and unique details that we will include in our drawings. The hearts will be outlined in black Sharpie (the thick, chisel-point Sharpie is really awesome for this, but the regular fine point works just fine), and then colored in the medium of student's choice: crayon, marker, watercolor pencil, or watercolor paint.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
