Week 1Lesson 1Draw Adorable Valentine GnomesThrough the guided drawing process, students will learn how to use simple lines and shapes to create up to three cute cartoon gnomes, adding different details, decorations and characteristics, particularly hearts, that are commonly seen around Valentine's Day.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Students will need: Paper (drawing paper is great; sketchbook, or even printer paper will work! Pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Black Sharpie Choice of coloring tools: colored pencils, crayons, watercolor pencils, or markers.
