Week 1Lesson 1Draw a Cute Rainbow UnicornThrough the guided drawing process, students will learn how to use simple lines and shapes to draw a cartoon-style unicorn and use "rainbow colors" to color the mane, tail and horn. If we have time, we will add details, such as a rainbow and a cloud (or details of student choice) to the drawing.
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Students will need: Paper (drawing paper is great; sketchbook, or even printer paper will work! Pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Black Sharpie Choice of coloring tools: colored pencils, crayons, watercolor pencils, or markers.
