"My name is Ms. Trina, and I teach American Sign Language (ASL) classes for both deaf and hearing children at our school. Additionally, I offer math and English language arts (ELA) tutoring in sign language for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and use sign language for communication. With over 20 years of experience, I've been dedicated to educating and supporting the deaf community as an educational interpreter and tutor.

Growing up in a household with a deaf sister, I learned sign language early on, and I've been actively involved in the deaf community, surrounded by deaf uncles and aunties. During the day, when I'm not teaching on Outschool, I work at a school where I accompany a student to all their classes, providing sign language interpretation for everything being said. I am nationally certified and have been providing this kind of interpreting service for over two decades.

Outside of work, I have a son in middle school with whom I share a passion for travel and exploring new places. Our favorite vacation destination is Florida, particularly for its theme parks. I'm eager to welcome new students to my class and share with them the joy and excitement of learning this beautiful language, ASL!
