Class Experience

Beginner Level
In this self-paced class, I will be teaching learners how to tune their guitars using a clip-on, stand-alone, smartphone, or online electronic guitar tuner. Students can use their own tuner if they already have one, but I will be providing links to access free online and smartphone guitar tuners as well. Learners will need an acoustic guitar, or an electric guitar plugged into an amplifier so the tuner can hear the notes they play.
The course will provide any reference documents needed for solo tuning sessions after the course is finished.

Learning Goals

When this class is over, learners will be able to tune their own guitar by themselves using their own choice of guitar tuner, or with just about any tuner they have access to!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I've been playing the guitar for over 30 years, and I still use a guitar tuner to this day. I've used many different kinds of tuners over the years, and I'm confident that I can get my guitar in tune with pretty much any tuner I get my hands on.
