Class Experience

This on-going secret sentence class is a sure way to engage students while they are practicing their beginning sounds, sight words and CVC words. To complete the provided activity, they write the beginning sound of each picture to reveal the secret sentence and then they rewrite the sentence using proper punctuation. Each student will take turns being a detective and solving the clues. This is an excellent class to have students engage in beginning sounds and code cracking.

Once enrolled, students will be provided with the target worksheets for that week. Class will meet 2x week. Each class will present new material, so feel free to hop on in when you can!

Students will love cracking all the different sentences and will be super excited to complete this fun activity. I look forward to seeing your little detectives in class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am very excited to be teaching here on Outschool. I love teaching and sharing my silly and engaging side of learning especially with younger children. I have an amazing 15 year old daughter and we love to read and watch funny movies together.

I am currently a Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking Specialist working with survivors, families of survivors, and offenders. A bulk of the work that I do involves safety planning, risk assessments, and on-going case management. I also provide Economic, Housing and Stabilization Advocacy for community members who are in need of support.

I have over 12 years of experience working with children and 4 years working with students in the classroom and have worked in both private and public settings. I have prepared math, writing, and English lessons with and without a licensed lead teacher. I have experience in tutoring, supporting and mentoring youth (ages 2-10) through literacy, math, science and drawing skills exercises.
For the past 2 years, I have been working as an online ESL Teacher working with children ages 5-14.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of Massachusetts, Boston. I also work as a Trauma Informed Community Advocacy Specialist, providing families with support to acquire and practice skills to achieve long/term stability.

As you can see I absolutely love people and I love to help people out in any way possible. I am great at engaging and problem-solving with children/teens whether it's with fun and colorful props or just the skill to converse, navigate, and relate to what teens go through. I love to see individuals grow and learn themselves as learners and use that skill to help them excel throughout life.

I’m excited to meet your child and to connect with them to help them discover and nurture a love of learning. I look forward to meeting you!

Please reach out to request a topic of interest and I will try my absolute best to accommodate you.
