1 hour per week. After each class, a file will be posted with practice worksheets. Students will also have access to the Kahoot quizzes from class to have a little more fun with their practice.Class Experience
During this 3 week class, students will learn and/or review notes of the Grand Staff. Students will gain a general overview of the Grand Staff, including Treble and Bass Clef notes. They will learn the “Guide Note” method of note naming, which eliminates the need for learning multiple rhymes. We will have fun learning the basics, and even have a few games, to reinforce what is taught. Although students will not be proficient at the end of this camp, they will have the basic skills to figure out any note on the Grand Staff. No musical experience is needed. Our schedule of learning will be: Week 1 - Treble Clef - How to recognize the Treble Clef, its guide notes, and how to determine notes on the Treble Clef. Week 2 - Bass Clef - How to recognize the Bass Clef, its guide notes, and how to determine notes on the Bass Clef. Week 3 - Grand Staff - Putting the Treble and Bass Clef together and determining any note, including ledger lines.
