This interactive and engaging math course is designed for 2nd graders to explore and understand numbers up to 1000. Through a series of five comprehensive lessons, students will develop their skills in using number charts, number lines, comparing numbers, and ordering numbers. The course culminates in an assessment to evaluate students' understanding, with optional activities provided for extended learning. **Course Objectives:** - Understand and use number charts to identify and sequence numbers up to 1000. - Utilize number lines to represent and locate numbers within the range of 1 to 1000. - Compare numbers using greater than, less than, and equal to symbols. - Order numbers in ascending and descending order. - Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in interactive activities. **Assessment:** An assessment will be given at the end of the course to measure students' comprehension and mastery of the topics covered. This will include a variety of question types, such as multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer questions. **Extended Learning:** Optional activities will be provided for students who wish to further explore the concepts learned in class. These activities will include advanced practice problems, cross-curricular projects, and interactive games to enhance their understanding and application of numbers up to 1000.

In this lesson, we will analyze a number chart ranging from 1 to 1,000 to identify number patterns. Afterwards, you will receive a chart to complete independently during the week.

Students will understand and practice how to use a number line to represent numbers from 1 to 1,000.
Lesson 3:
Comparing Numbers to 1,000
Students will understand how to compare numbers up to 1,000 and use the greater than, less than and equal signs.
Lesson 4:
Ordering Numbers to 1,000
Students will practice arranging numbers in ascending and descending order.

Welcome! My name is Debbie and I am a certified teacher with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a concentration in the visual arts. I also hold Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on math and science. I have been lucky enough throughout my career to have taught grades K through 6 and be a math and reading interventionist. Math is one of my favorite subjects to teach and I love thinking of creative ways to get students to love it too and gain confidence.
