This is a self-paced (flex) (recorded) class. There will be NO live meetings. This class is listed in 2 parts. Each part stands alone and can be taken in any order. Each week in this self-paced class, Miss Jen will use fun and engaging slides and activities to help students learn grammar skills necessary for reading and writing. Week 1Lesson 1Subjects in SentencesStudents will learn how to identify and write subjects in sentences.Week 2Lesson 2Predicates in SentencesStudents will learn how to identify and write verbs and predicates in sentences.Week 3Lesson 3Questions, Statements, Exclamations, & CommandsStudents will learn how to identify and write questions, statements, exclamations, and commands as well as match them with their correct ending marks.Week 4Lesson 4Common & Proper NounsStudents will learn how to identify and correctly capitalize common and proper nouns.Week 5Lesson 5Personal PronounsStudents will learn how to use object and subject pronouns correctly in sentences based upon their use and placement.Week 6Lesson 6CapitalizationStudents will learn when to capitalize certain words in sentences.Week 7Lesson 7Possessive PronounsStudents will learn how to identify and write possessive pronouns to show ownership in sentences.Week 8Lesson 8Action VerbsStudents will learn how to identify and write action verbs to make sentences more exciting and interesting.Week 9Lesson 9Subject & Verb AgreementStudents will learn how to write a verb to match the subject of the sentence in the present tense.Week 10Lesson 10Regular Past TenseStudents will learn how to write regular past tense verbs that follow the rule of adding -ed when referring to past actions.Week 11Lesson 11AdjectivesStudents will learn how to identify and write adjectives to make nouns more descriptive and interesting.Week 12Lesson 12PrepositionsStudents will learn how to identify and use prepositions and prepositional phrases in sentences.
