What's included
12 live meetings
8 in-class hoursHomework
We meet online, usually Monday through Wednesday. On Friday I will have a suggested activity or request for you to try. You may participate in Monday through Wednesday online only or you may try the challenge activity and tell us all about it on Monday. Our Thursday challenge will be to make a picture using any art materials you like best. Our first "Friday Challenge" will be to take a walk outside and find a special treasure to share with friends at Show and Tell the following Monday.Class Experience
This is a Nature Based Morning Circle with fun Waldorf songs and verses to start your day. Your child will enjoy learning new hand movements and songs while connecting with other children. Each season is magical in its own way. Spring offers opportunities to splash in muddy puddles. Summer offers opportunities to catch frogs and plant gardens. Fall offers big piles of leaves to jump in and garden goodness to harvest. Winter offers an opportunity to sculpt with snow and slide like a penguin! No matter what the season our circle will start each day in a happy way. Each month will focus on rhymes, songs and activities reflecting the season. This class meets three days a week for 4 weeks. When you enroll you will have access to a handout that will include our songs and rhymes for the month as well as crafts, activities, or recipes that you may use to enhance your morning circle time or engage with your child outside of class. If you love nature, singing and exploring outside you will love this class! We meet online Monday three days a week. This gives you two days to enhance your homeschool experience to meet the individual needs of your child and build a bond with a consistent group of online learners. Suggested activity for Friday: Friday is our Forest Friday where I encourage you to take your singing voice outside and take a walk! Maybe you will find a squirrel in your travels, spot a deer, or view the ocean? No matter what you find outside we would love to hear about it on Monday when you return to class.

Hi. My name is Heather. The best students ask lots of questions and explore their ideas openly. My job is to inspire the questions and give students the tools they need to find their own answers. I earned my BFA from Madonna University in Michigan and my MEd. from Antioch New England in New Hampshire. I am a Nature Based Educator and Art Education Consultant with 25 years of experience working with children. Whether leading a hiking group, sketching, searching for mermaid tears, or giving a demonstration at Strawbery Banke Museum I infuse my days with imagination and curiosity. I am also the Head Youth Librarian at the Newmarket Public Library in New Hampshire!
My heart is in everything I do. Creativity is at the core of all of the classes I teach. Nature Journaling, Gardening, Nature Architects, Myth, Magic and Folklore, The Art of Letter Writing (via Owl post of course!), Morning Circle for Littles, Fine Art classes focusing on famous and not so famous artists, Forest Fairy Club, Wizard's Potions and Magic Wands, and Spelling Bees are just a few of the classes I offer.
