This class is just for fun!Class Experience
Join me for a relaxing directed watercolor class! You don't need to have any experience with watercolor, but if you do, that's great too! Each week, we'll start with quick introductions. Then we will identify the basic shapes and colors in that week's painting. Next we will lightly sketch the drawing. Once we are done sketching, we'll paint together and add details as necessary once our paintings have had a chance to dry. If time allows, we will share what we found challenging and what we enjoyed the most! In this class, there are no mistakes! Learners are taught that they have creative license and however their painting turns out is ok. I leave students unmuted as much as possible, so they are free to chat with their classmates while they paint. Usually everyone is so focused that it stays pretty quiet. Teacher expertise and credentials
California Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hi! I'm Mrs. Huey and I teach elementary and middle school aged kids how to draw and animate on iPads using the Procreate app. These classes are a fun, safe place to foster creativity, showcase artistic expression, and let learners be their most authentic selves.
In my classes, we gather together to explore the far reaches of our imaginations. Whether drawing an under-the-sea waterscape, animating a prehistoric sauropod, or taking creative license with a hand drawn selfie, everyone's ideas and personalities are welcomed.
I've been working as an elementary school teacher in private, public, and charter schools in Northern California since 2009. Prior to that, I earned a B.A. in communication with a minor in environmental science and spent some time working in the public relations industry.
When I'm not teaching, I split my free time among many different interests! I like to run, hike, travel, take nature photos, play guitar, read, write, and practice yoga.
