In this one-time class, learners will learn about pumpkins and be guided through the preparation of a delicious pumpkin bread while practicing cooking skills and safety, & gaining confidence in the kitchen! Dietary substitutions possible.

I have been teaching online cooking classes to students of different ages and abilities for the last 2.5 years.
Try out the recipe again with family members, or try putting your own spin on them after we try them out in class.
Recipe card will be available upon completion of the class. Ingredients and Supplies needed for this class: 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp ginger 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup vegetable oil , or canola oil 1/2 cup melted butter 2 eggs Supplies: 3 Bowls: small, medium, and large Nonstick cooking spray Mixer - stand or hand Spatula Loaf Pan - 9 or 10 in. may work best
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Recipe is fairly simple and kid-friendly, but some parental guidance may still be necessary, and more for younger students. Parents should always provide supervision and guidance when an appliance or certain kitchen utensils are used. **Please note that this recipe does use the oven.** It is also recommended that a clean, easily reachable workstation be set up for your learner, whether at a table or counter space.
