Every assignment, I am happy to provide feedback, identify where the student has struggled, and figure out together how to help them overcome the difficulty and come up with a viable solution.Class Experience
In this six week class we will be making a variety of adorable woodland animals having a tea party out of polymer oven bake clay. Each week we will make a different animal, and if time allows, an accessory, such as a table, teapot, etc.. I will show step by step directions and discuss what I am doing, and share some awesome tips on working with polymer clay. There is a chance that the students will want to continue working on their sculpture after the class, and then wind up making more clay figures afterwards! It will be helpful for the students to have soft aluminum or copper wire. The wire is best at 16 or 18 gauge. A basic set of clay tools is also recommended. In lieu of a set of clay tools, the learner can use household objects: a toothpick, a wooden skewer, an old toothbrush, a plastic knife, and a pencil with a pink eraser on top, etc. Note to learners and parents, please be sure to follow instructions when baking the clay. The temperatures for this kind of clay is often quite low (around 250 degrees), and is stated on the clay box or wrapper. For this class it is important that we all begin at the same time. If, for any reason, the learner will be delayed by more than 10-15 minutes, please reach out and we can arrange a make up class after the session is finished. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions for me at all. Week 1: We will make a fox and accessories. Week 2: We will make a bunny and accessories. Week 3: We will make a mouse and accessories. Week 4: We will make a polar bear and accessories. Week 5: We will make a brown bear and accessories. Week 6: This is a learner's choice week, we will make an animal of their choosing, and accessories.

Parental Guidance
The younger learners may require parental assistance making the clay more malleable. We will also be using wire, soft aluminum wire is best, gauge 18 or 16. The students may require assistance cutting the wire, though if the wire is soft enough and the wire clippers are safe to use, they should be able to complete that independently. At the end of each lesson, once our project is complete, the learners will need assistance with the use the oven in order to bake the completed project.

Supply List
The students will need the following: * Sculpy or Fimo clay in a variety of colors, I suggest orange, black, white, gray, brown, blue, green, red, yellow, purple. Any other color that students prefer. * Soft wire: 16 to 20 gauge is good. * Jewelry wire cutters that are safe and easy to use. * Basic clay tools. In the absence of the tools, a toothpick, or a large plastic sewing needle will work for most things. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have about the materials.
