Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from UNC Charlotte
Hello, my name is Cara!
I have been teaching art since 2003 in school and studio environments. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Art from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My concentrations are in education and painting. I have experience teaching students as young as 3 up to adults. The majority of my in-school teaching experience was in grades 6-12. At my studio, I teach students weekly and also have classes for homeschool students, open studio, birthdays, graduations, and team-building. I love that online platforms allow teachers and students to connect across the world! What an amazing opportunity!
I love to create bright-colored abstract paintings, usually in acrylic or watercolor. I live with my husband and three dogs a short drive from my art studio! I look forward to meeting you!

**Class Policies:
*Please have learners log in 2-3 minutes before the scheduled class start time so that we can start on time.
*All class times are approximate. Class length may vary due to student ability and class size. Classes are designed to be no longer than the time allotted.
*Late/Missed Class Policy - All courses will begin on time as long as one learner is in the classroom. ***Tardy Policy - Learners who have missed ten minutes or more of the class time should request a transfer. ***I do not check or respond to messages while I am teaching classes. I will respond as soon as I can after class has ended.
