In this class, students will learn how to take those pieces of scribbles and turn them into masterpieces. These masterpieces will look like abstract art.

In this class, students will learn how to turn those scribbles into abstract art. We will learn how to look at abstract art to visually see the pieces of art within them. Wassily Kandisky, Kazimir Malevich, and Paul Klee are the abstract artists that we will be focusing on in this lesson. We will be observing and describing what we notice about their artwork. I will first introduce the students to these artists and their artwork. Then we will begin creating our own scribble abstract art. Student will follow along with me as I model how I do mine. If we are unable to finish coloring project in the classroom, I would like for students to post their finish artwork within the classroom.

Students will learn about abstract art and how to create their abstract art pieces.

Supply List
Students will needs drawing paper, pencil, eraser, fine tip black marker or pen, and markers.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
