Scratch Coding Club - Intermediate Group- New Game or Animation Each Week

In this ongoing course we will make a new game or animation each week. Students will practice coding, at the same time they will learn about the principles of art and design.

Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Intermediate Level
We will create new advanced intermediate Scratch games, animations, or interactive projects each week. Students are encouraged to be creative and incorporate their ideas into their projects. Learners will have the opportunity to meet fellow students, interact, get inspired, and make friends. They will be encouraged to share their work and provide constructive comments to others.

I will share my screen during the class, and students are expected to work on their projects concurrently.

This is not a beginner class. If you know how to use Scratch and you have created a few projects, you're welcome to join!

In order to participate:

Basic computer skills such as clicking, right-clicking, and drag-and-drop are required.
It is recommended to have the ability to share your screen for a better learning experience.

Parental Guidance
You need to create an account at https://scratch.mit.edu/ and sign in, if you want your Lerner's project to be saved automatically. You have the option to share the project publicly and the option to keep it private. The project can be completed without making an account, but cannot be saved and shared on the website. You can save the file to your computer without an account. If you decide to have an account, please create one before the class starts. You can login and have the first page open by the time we start.

-A Laptop or a desktop computer with a mouse, webcam, speaker and microphone (No iPad and Chromebook please, unless you want to use it as a second screen for Zoom)
-Using the Chrome browser is recommended
