Scrapbooking for Middle Schoolers!
This is a 6-week introduction to scrapbooking enrichment class. We will learn how to make title pages, cut and glue photographs, write descriptions, and doodle to make our pages exciting!

Beginner - Intermediate Level
We will learn basic scrapbooking techniques including organization, doodling, title and description writing, and explore our creativity! This class will be led like a club/enrichment class and all students will be encouraged to share ideas and engage in discussion. I will help the students by introducing a theme each week so that the students can engage on similar topics, and we can all work on our scrapbook at the same pace - I will also take suggestions from the group. We will engage in fun discussions and have a new theme each week! This will be a fun way to make friends and share common interests. I look forward to meeting you soon! The themes include: Week One- (Aug 15): Summer Week Two- (Aug 22): Family Week Three- (Aug 29): Friends Week Four- (Sept 5): Sports/ Hobbies/ Clubs Week Five- (Sept 12): School Week Six- (Sept 19): Free Day!

12x12 scrapbook paper (recommended but any size is fine) Card stock Markers/colored pencils, highlighters Stickers (optional - your student can bring topic related items they find to glue to their page) 5 photographs (maximum)

I am an early childhood educator and artist which a bachelor's degree in art from Aquinas College in Michigan. I teach elementary art and creative hobbies such as scrapbooking and painting. Just like Gusteau believes anyone can cook, I believe with the right tools anyone can be an artist and enjoy being creative! There are so many different ways to tap into your student's artistic side and for them to learn more about themselves. I cannot wait to hear all of their artistic ideas and passions and help them grow in their love for Art.
