Learning about the weather is a great way to get kids interested in nature and science because weather affects our lives every day. In this one time class, your child will learn about the formation of tornadoes, when and where they occur, the Fujita scale, and the different types of tornadoes. They will also learn tornado safety tips too. I encourage the kids to ask questions and share any knowledge they may have about the class topic because that is a good way to learn about something...

I have taught elementary students as a public school teacher, on Outschool, and with my local homeschool organization. I have taught units on the weather as well as a high school meteorology class for homeschool kids. I enjoy learning about the weather.
