Students will present a project using the learned vocabulary and sentence structures. They can draw a picture to talk about, write sentences, etc. They will use as much Spanish as they can; Spanglish is allowed! (It's how we learn and our brains operate.)Class Experience
Learn to talk about your favorite science topics in Spanish using literature, songs, and activities! Each 4-week course focuses on one science topic, with an emphasis on vocabulary, scientific concepts, and conversation. After all, we love to talk about our favorite things. Learn how to do it in Spanish! "Insectos" is an introductory course to insects. The student will learn about the scientific process, what is an insect, the life cycle, and other interesting information - in Spanish. The goal is the ability to participate in a simple conversation about insects. There will be many opportunities to participate and speak in the microphone to practice what is being learned. Week 1: Scientific process, parts of an insect Week 2: The head and physiology of head parts Week 3: Thorax and abdomen and physiology of the parts Week 4: Life cycle and presentations 70/30 Spanish/English is spoken, depending on ability of speaker. No prior Spanish knowledge is required, but the Alphabet & Pronunciation class is suggested to become acquainted with the pronunciation and cadence of the language.
Learning Goals
Students will participate in a simple conversation about insects.
Students will present the favorite insect using as much Spanish as possible.

Parent notes include vocabulary, grammar, and other useful information and handouts to practice and extend topics learned in the live class.

I have graduated one, and continue to homeschool my other child.
