Join us for a science adventure exploring the Sun and Moon through hands-on and engaging activities! We will be covering important 1st-grade science standards while learning about the world around us!
In this 2 week course, we will meet twice a week for 30 minutes. Students will learn about the Sun and the Moon.
Day 1 & Day 2 - The Sun:
What is the Sun?
Sunrise & Sunset Patterns
Day 3 & Day 4 - The Moon:
What is the Moon?
The Phases of the Moon
Earth Science Standards (NGSS):
ESS1.1 – Use observations of the sun, moon, and stars to describe patterns that can be predicted.
ESS1.2 – Make observations at different times of the year to relate to the amount of daylight to specific times of the year.
Together we will learn through movement, discussions, and experiments. (Maybe getting a little messy at times.....because that's the fun part!)
This will be a fun and engaging science class with new friends.
No prior knowledge is needed!

I have a degree in Child & Adolescent Development, a teaching credential for elementary education, as well as TESOL and TEFL certifications. I have been an educator for 20 years in many capacities.
