Students will discover how to use the scientific method to create a hypothesis and then participate in an experiment to put their idea to the test! Many of us have experience with cookies and milk; but what will happen if they are put into other liquids? This is an interactive class where students are encouraged to contribute and have fun. Students will learn how to: 1) Ask a Question 2) Make a Guess/Hypothesis 3) Do an Experiment 4) Organize Data 5) Find the Conclusion This is a visual class meant to be inclusive of those with unique learning needs including students with learning disabilities, intellectual disability, processing challenges, ADHD, and/or autism. All are welcome to join our diverse group!

Follow steps of a scientific process related to grades 3-5 science topics, with support.

Supply List
All supplies are optional. If a printer is available, students can participate while the teacher completes the worksheets in an interactive way. A learning packet will be provided to optionally be printed out ahead of time. If a parent or guardian wishes to help their learner complete the science experiment along with the class, these supplies will be needed: 3 labeled bowls (oil, vinegar, water) 1 unlabeled bowl measuring cup vegetable oil vinegar water 4 gingerbread cookies spoon Again, it is optional to get the supplies and do the experiment along with the teacher. The lesson will be enriching without your own materials.
