Science Experiment - Fun With Oil and Water
Science experiment with oil water and food colouring. Engaging and fun!
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one time, online, live class, we will explore the difference in density between oil and water. Students will get a chance to learn about making a prediction, hypothesis, observation and creating a conclusion while we work through the experiment. Students will make predictions about what will happen when the oil is added to the water, make their own observations and formulate a conclusion. This experiment will have two observations as we will also add in liquid food colouring and talk about the density of drops compared to the oil. By the end of this session, students will know that oil has less density than water and liquid food colouring. Students will observe what happens when one drop of food colouring is added to the mixture and then when multiple drops are added to the mixture. (this is the best part) No previous knowledge is needed
Learning Goals
Learn The Scientific Method. Practice making predictions and ultimately seeing if they are correct.
