Learning doesn't have to be difficult or boring! Come to my class and let me help your young learner review all common core standards for first grade in EVERY lesson! Students will need to be able to read simple CVC words and know all of their letter sounds to be successful in this course. This a class that is structured to give your young learner repeated opportunities to practice 1st-grade common core math standards to help them keep their skills fresh and build automaticity. This class is excellent for 5-7 year-old learners. As a student, I struggled with academics because I desperately needed a teacher that could make the content simple and easy to understand! Let me be that teacher for your child :)I will be using a slideshow, videos, games, and activities to help hone in on each objective. Students will learn a concept and then practice with me until everyone understands and can move on to the next Common Core concept. June 26th-30th Let's Grow Our Learning! Supply List
Students will need to bring a pencil, eraser, colored pencils/crayons, and a notebook to class work out math problems. It is preferred that students bring a composition book so they can keep track of their work from class to class. Students are not required to take all of the classes in a sequence, but it is helpful if they can keep all of their work in once place so they can refer back to key concepts and ideas in their free time. Optional homework will be assigned to each class for extra practice. Students will be provided with a worksheet to bring with them before each class.
