Description
Class Experience
Students will learn of 4 classical music pieces. Students will understand the contexts and qualities that make them "scary." Students will comprehend these aspects enough to engage in free discussion.
I am a lifelong musician and a musicologist in training, making me particularly qualified to discuss classical music and its history.
There is no required homework or preparatory exercises.
A brief outline of information covered in class will be provided.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Spotify
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Though the music may feel unsettling, there are no lyrics to these works to challenge adolescents.
