#### Class experience

###### US Grade 7 - 9

As a person who struggled with math as a student, I can empathize with and relate to students as they try to learn new and difficult concepts. I display patience with the learners, give them time to respond, and offer encouragement for their efforts. This is a complete academic course covering Lessons 1 - 60 of Saxon Algebra 1/2. The goal is to cover 3-4 lessons each week. In this ongoing class, students will meet twice a week to learn and practice the topics in the course. Some topics...

I have been teaching math (as a classroom teacher and tutor) for 25+ years. As a person who struggled with math as a student, I can empathize with and relate to students as they try to learn new and difficult concepts. A lot of encouragement goes a long way.

## Homework Offered

Learners should try to complete some of the practice and review exercises for each lesson. I recommend getting the Solutions Manual (Saxon Algebra 1/2, 3rd Edition, Solutions Manual). It contains step-by-step solutions to every problem in the textbook. This is a great way for learners and parents to check answers and get a full understanding of how to solve each problem. The answers to the odd-numbered exercises are in the back of the textbook.## 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
